Leveling Up What "Quality Cannabis" Means

Happy Valley visit by ILGM

Herbert and Vince hit the road to Boston recently, chasing terps and trouble. Their destination? Happy Valley Genetics. Their mission? Sniff out HVG’s newest strains.

They came back buzzing—and not just from the road snacks. What they saw? The word "impressive" doesn't quite cut it. What they smelled was next level. They couldn’t stop raving about the flavors and funk HVG’s been dialing in. Loud. Layered. Ridiculously good.

And then there’s the cure room. Just look at that shot—Herb (left), Vince, and Dan (right), standing in what might be the most fragrant room in Massachusetts. Shortcut was the strain, and yeah, it was hitting noses like a freight train.

Honestly, it's a mystery how any of this flower escapes the facility. If I worked there, I'd hoard it all. But HVG keeps it moving—because they only grow the kind of fire that demands to be shared.

That’s why we’re proud to call Happy Valley an official ILGM partner. And more than that—good friends.Stay tuned. We’ve got a full HVG visit report coming soon, and it's gonna be juicy.

Meet Dan Nelson

Director of Cannabis Genetics at Happy Valley

Happy Valley is a fully integrated cannabis dreamland, a magical place where old-school know-how meets precision science. Labs, dispensaries, seeds, or pre-rolls, you name it; they have it all in-house:

"We can grow out strains, get feedback from customers, budtenders, any of the 200 people on our staff, and then pivot the ship accordingly. We wanted to be the seed company we couldn't find seven years ago. All for full transparency."

With 15 years of experience helping cultivators grow great cannabis from seed, Dan is an endless source of wisdom. We had the privilege to sit down with him and pick his brain for expert tips and tricks on growing their jaw-dropping strains.

"In 2009 I got a chance to grow my own and it was love at first trich. I want to give the home grower all the information they need to hit home runs in the garden."
