A National Survey

Join Dr. Riley Kirk and ILGM in documenting the real stories, techniques, and motivations behind home cultivation - and earn a reward for your time spent.

This survey is a first-of-its-kind collaboration between ILGM and Dr. Riley Kirk, designed to give home growers across the United States a voice in both science and industry.

Home growing should be recognized as a fundamental right. It empowers individuals to personalize their medicine while deepening their understanding and appreciation of the cannabis plant.

Through this survey, we aim to better understand why people choose to grow, how they cultivate, and how we can best support the homegrow community.

Why Now?

This is your chance to represent home growers in a national study that values your knowledge and passion.

By sharing your experience, you’ll help researchers better understand how we grow: what tools we use, why we do it, and what challenges we face. This data will inform future educational materials, policy conversations, and scientific studies that support responsible and successful cultivation.

More people across the country are exploring cultivation for wellness, creativity, self-reliance, and a deeper connection to the plant. Yet despite this surge, the real experiences of home growers are rarely documented on a national scale.

This survey is an opportunity to change that.
