Rainbow Showers is a cultivar from our Undertow breeding project, with a unique profile of citrus candy, creamy gelato, tropical fruit, and petrol. It's parent the Undertow is a cultivar bred in collaboration with Cookies and selected by Berner. Smoking it tastes like a mouthful of candies dipped in ice cream, with a back end hit of metallic and sharp gasoline.
Undertow is a genetic that came from the mind of Jason – Colors By Cultivar’s founder – when he combined Wet Betty by Exotic Genetix and Cali Gushers from the Cookie Fam. Taking two great works from legendary breeders to create a crazy, potent, gassy indica. This caught Berner's attention and brought Undertow into Cookie’s arsenal of genetics. When Jason found the perfect pheno of Undertow, Cookies loved the cultivar so much that they decided to distribute it to all their cultivation sites across the US!
Rainbow Runtz is interesting because it’s another genetic from the Exotic Genetix cabinet, bringing a mix of Rainbow Chip and the world-renowned Runtz, which Cookie Fam also bred. Rainbow Runtz is a hybrid that brings the “indica” aspects of Runtz with the stimulating effects of Rainbow Chip.

Growing Rainbows: The More The Merrier
A moderate drinker that grows tall, Rainbow Showers is a solid grow all around and has a powerful central cola (also known as apical dominance). Since she grows this way, Jason doesn’t recommend topping; it would just stunt the growth. Jason recommended planting multiple Rainbow Shower’s together in a Sea of Green (SOG); that way, you get the most bang for your buck, taking advantage of the natural apical dominance to produce big yields.
"For cultivation, Rainbow Showers works well in higher-density plantings. In a 4x5-foot area, I’d recommend about nine plants in three-gallon pots to maximize yield. This setup complements its slender, upright growth pattern."
Having a fair amount of space between nodes, this plant is less prone to mold problems than others with a more dense structure, meaning there’s enough airflow, making it a good outdoor strain, too. When it comes to her trichomes, she works better for smoking than concentrates since she tends to produce greasy resin.
