Tangie Seeds
Tangie is an award-winning sativa-dominant hybrid strain with coveted genetics. Tangie's high THC content ranges from 15 to 20%, making it ideal for both experienced and beginner Cannabis lovers. At the same time, its potent citrus aroma and orange juice flavor make it iconic. When you want to grow a tasty strain, these Cannabis seeds will deliver.
Tangie Origins
Tangie attempts to recreate the similar Tangerine Dream of the 1990s. However, unlike Tangerine Dream (a cross of G13, Afghani, and a Haze), Tangie crosses California Orange and Skunk-1. The award-winning tangerine-inspired hybrid was developed in 1995 by Reserva Privada and the DNA Army. It even earned first place in the 2013 Cannabis Cup.
Tangie isn't the first try at recreating the classic Tangerine Dream strain; however, it is the most common tangerine-flavored cultivar. Even if you're certain you're growing Tangie, the phenotype can differ based on who grows it. Although there are a few different versions of Tangie, they all deliver a rich citrus flavor and a euphoric experience.
Growing Tangie Feminized Seeds
Tangie marijuana seeds produce plants that are naturally resistant to molds and diseases. However, the plants they produce are still dense which makes Tangie more susceptible to mold than Cannabis cultivars that spread out while growing. Growers should work to maintain temperature, humidity, and moisture to ensure that their Tangie plants do not mold before they are ready for harvest.
Feminized Seeds
These are feminized seeds. Female plants, contrary to male plants, are the ones that actually produce weed. They start flowering when they receive less light per day, i.e. in the fall, or when you manipulate the light cycle indoors.

Preferred Climate
Just like citrus fruit, Tangie Cannabis plants thrive in a tropical climate. These plants aren't afraid of high heat or humidity but do best when kept between 68 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Tangie Cannabis plants can be more susceptible to a cold snap than other varieties, so keep an eye on the temperature when growing.

Flowering and Yield
Tangie is a high-quality strain and hardy plant that rewards with a short flowering time. This bud can be grown outdoors and indoors, producing generous yields of up to 15 ounces in around 8 to 9 weeks.
Tangie plants can grow pretty tall - but don't let this keep you from growing indoor plants of this strain. It will need a fair amount of space to grow to its fullest potential, but it is possible. If you decide to grow this strain outdoors, it will thrive. Once you reach flowering in the final weeks, you'll notice a fairly distinct color and appearance. The plant boasts sticky flowers and vibrant green leaves with orange hairs.
Experiencing The Tangie Strain
Tangie weed produces a high that is energetic and clear-headed. You are unlikely to feel the urge to sink into your couch. This strain is known for its uplifting and otherworldly high that is ideal for writing, drawing, building, and hanging out with friends. Tangie is also well known for delivering a boost of energy, making it the perfect choice for a little “wake and bake.”
The Tangie strain is also a favorite because there aren't many negative effects. You can expect the usual dry mouth and munchies, but it takes it easy when compared to other strains. Those prone to anxiety might experience anxiety or paranoia; however, this is less likely in moderation.
Tangie Smell and Taste
Tangie, unsurprisingly, smells like tangerines. Its scent also hints at cinnamon and citrus, with subtle touches of lavender. Tangie's aroma is noticeable yet pleasant, making it ideal for those seeking a bit of discretion.
The flavor of this strain of Cannabis is pure tangerine with Linalool terpenes adding a creamy quality. Tangie weed is tart with a citrus zing that's more citrus than sweet. However, its fruity flavors qualify it as a dessert strain.
Uses for Tangie
Tangie weed is ideal for those that like to start their day with marijuana. The high is energetic and clear-headed, meaning you are unlikely to feel the urge to sink into your couch. It's also great before morning chores.
Fans of Tangie love this strain for its potential benefits for anxiety and PTSD. The uplifting and euphoric qualities can help take the edge off of stress and chase away depression. Because the THC levels are moderately high, it's ideal for regular daytime use.
The stress-relieving qualities of Tangie make it ideal for fighting migraines, while its euphoric effects make it a great social strain. It's also useful for dwindling appetites since it will likely make you hungry. The overall effects are a clear-headed focus, making Tangie an ideal all-around strain.
